Camping

We just went camping for the first time this year! We took the Ranger up Millville canyon. I'd never been up there. It was really pretty. We passed quite a few cows. Cowpies were 10 points if you hit them!!! This time we brought enough wood to last us all night. Casey actually ate a hotdog (he only has about 2 a year). We slept with our tarp off our tent so we could see the stars. Then we woke up to lots of wind and rain clouds. I was trying not to be a "debbie downer" and not pack up and go home and eat breakfast. Instead I started getting our propane cooker going for pancakes. Well needless to say, it started raining and it looked like it would only get worse. So we decided to hurry and pack up and go home. We had to drive the ranger home with the cold rain pelting our faces. We were soaked by the time we got home!! So the night of our campout was way more fun than the morning!

Runnin!

So this weekend was Casey's big run. He ran the Wasatch Back Relay race. I met him in Park City (after I hit all the outlet stores Wahoooo!!) after he had run. I don't have too many pictures of him running the race, but he said someone took some so maybe I can post those later. So Casey ended up running around 15 miles (13 miles more than I could have ran!!).Here's a before picture. His sweet sweat band he said came in handy!

He took a video of him running across the finish line with his team. (It's a little bumpy!)

All in all Casey did awesome!!! He was pretty sore and walked like Frankenstien for the first couple days! He says the worst part was his sunburn he got.

Well it was our first time in Park City. We decided to stay the night. Finding a place to park was a nightmare. But once we got parked we saw some awesome stuff on Main Street. I love Park City. Here are some pics but the ones of Main Street didn't do it justice.

This is Franz the Bear. He was just sitting there so we had to have a picture of him!

This is random isn't it!

Wow this is a long post but I have a lot to talk about! We went and rode the Alpine Slide. They had a coaster too but it was pricy and we didn't want to spend that.

Well that's our weekend in a nutshell!

We are finally finally approved!!!

It's been several long months of filling out paperwork for adoption and today we got APPROVED! I went on and looked our profile over. Hopefully it portrays us well! We've gotten almost everyone's address so we'll send some pass along cards with our information on it so if you run into someone who knows someone who's thinking about placing their baby for adoption you can pass one on. We were told that the pass along cards are how most people find their baby so if you would, we'd love your help in spreading the word and passing those cards out if you find the opportunity. Thanks for being willing to help us!!!

Curtains

Well I got a hankering for another crafty project. I found some material on sale at Hobby Lobby so I decided to make curtains! They're not perfect and sadly I think I hung the rod crooked!! I'm probably the only one that notices it but it's gonna drive me crazy until I can find a way to fix it. My pictures didn't turn out that great, I took the pictures on a rainy day so it's a little dark.

The curtains are a blue green color. It's hard to tell in the picture.

Gocart Madness

Today was our work out in the yard day. We put down weed cloth and then spread out a bark look alike. It's made out of recycled tires and it is supposed to keep it's color for up to 15 years. It looks just like bark. We also decided to try a topsy turvy strawberry planter so we did that today as well. We'll have to let you know if it works or not!! Dini brought up a croquet set she had from the school that hadn't been used so we said we'd take it (nothing beats free games!). We convinced Dini to try our gocart out while she was up here. We took a video of it so all could enjoy!

Dini drove the gocart pretty well! She even skidded around the corners!

My sister's a married woman!

Well it's official now, Lindie has been married for almost 2 days. It was raining the day before she got married, but it was a beautifully sunny day on her wedding day.(Whew!) I snapped a few pics up at the temple.

Someone got this carraige for her. It was a cute idea but those horses were very stinky!!! :o) We took some pictures of the temple grounds. It was so pretty!

My Grandpa and Grandma came from California. It's been so long since I've seen them. I enjoyed every minute I had with them! They are off to New York to the museums and the Yankee's game. I'm jealous, but I'll survive! It's finally been decent weather here. Well here's a couple more pics we took at the temple.

I think Lindie got the perfect wedding day which is what we all wanted. Her husband Tyler seems like a great guy. Congrats again you two!

Mothers Day!

Well we had a pretty good Mothers Day. I had to work until 7pm so Casey decided he would make dinner for his mom and have her up to our house to eat. I left him step by step instructions on how to make everything. He said there was a lot more work involved in making dinner than he thought! Casey sent me a picture on my phone of some flowers he got for me. I got home from work at 7:30 and had my family and Casey's family over. I had spent about 2 hours the night before making a special cake for Mothers Day. For my mom I got her a cake stand that my grandma had said she wanted. So I brought the cake out on her cake stand. Everyone thought that I had bought the cake. Then my mom looked closer at the cake stand and said, "Hey you have the cake stand I wanted!". It was fun to see her reaction when I said it was for her! Well here is the cake I made. Really its kind of plain. I wanted to do more to it, but I didn't have time.

I made Dini that scrapbook book but I didn't get a picture of her with it. I think she liked her book though. Here are some other pictures of our Mother's Night.

We just had part of both our families there. So those who weren't there, we missed you and hope you had a great Mothers Day!
